Deepnook

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 15, 2026 · Effective: July 15, 2026

No data collected · 100% on-device

Summary: Deepnook is a fully offline app. It has no accounts, no servers, and no analytics. All of your projects, focus sessions, and settings are stored only on your device. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data — ever.

1. Organization Information

Deepnook ("the app", "we", "us") is published by [DEVELOPER_NAME], an organization developer account. For any privacy questions, contact us at [DEVELOPER_EMAIL].

2. Data We Collect

None. Deepnook does not collect any personal or usage data. It has no registration, no login, no analytics SDKs, and no advertising. The content you create (projects, focus sessions, reflections, goals, planned blocks) is entered by you and stored only on your device.

3. How Your Data Is Used

All data is used on-device only, to power the app's features — the timer, streaks, goals, insights, charts, and search. Nothing is processed on a server because there is no server.

4. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or transfer any data to third parties. When you choose to export or share a backup file, that action is initiated entirely by you through your device's own share sheet, and the data goes only where you send it.

5. Data Security

Your data is stored locally using the Hive database, and sensitive content (such as session reflection notes) is stored in an AES-256 encrypted box. App settings are kept in the platform's secure storage (Android Keystore-backed). Because nothing is transmitted off the device, there is no network attack surface for your data.

6. Data Retention

Your data remains on your device until you delete it. You can remove everything at any time via Settings → Clear all data, or by uninstalling the app, which permanently deletes all locally stored data.

7. No User Accounts

Deepnook has no accounts, no sign-in, and no user profiles. You do not provide an email, phone number, or any identifier to use the app.

8. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Deepnook does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. Because no data is collected from any user, the app poses no data-collection risk to children.

9. Your Rights

Since all data stays on your device, you are always in full control. You can view, edit, export, or permanently delete your data at any time from within the app. No request to us is required because we never hold your data.

10. Third-Party Services

Deepnook uses no third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or backend services. There are no third-party SDKs that collect data.

11. Permissions

Deepnook requests a single permission: INTERNET. It is used only to display this privacy policy inside the app (an in-app web view that loads this page). It is not used to transmit any of your personal data. The app's features all work fully offline.

12. Google Play Data Safety

Consistent with this policy, our Google Play Data Safety declaration states that Deepnook collects no data and shares no data.

13. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and publish the revised version here. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

14. Contact

Questions about this policy or your privacy? Email [DEVELOPER_EMAIL].

15. Legal & Compliance

Because Deepnook collects and processes no personal data, it is compliant with the GDPR, CCPA, and Google Play's User Data policies by design. This policy is provided by [DEVELOPER_NAME] as an organization developer.
